This 5-in-1 crochet pattern will make five quick adorable amigurumi crochet creations ideal for the Easter holidays.
I’ve been so excited to introduce you all to the Eggy Paw Pals, my latest free crochet pattern ideal for the upcoming Easter break.
There are five little animal egg-shaped amigurumi you can crochet including a bear, bunny, kitten, mouse, and a puppy dog.
They are also all super quick to crochet, and involve minimal sewing (my favourite!).
While I’ve made these Eggy Paw Pal amigurumi creations with Chenille yarn, you can use any yarn you wish. Just be aware that the yarn weight and the crochet hook size you use will impact the final size of your crocheted creations.
While the crochet pattern for these adorable Easter Amigurumi is available in this blog post here, you can also get the PDF crochet pattern by completing the form below. The PDF is a little easier to navigate as it includes hyperlinks to the pages throughout, as well as pictures of all the completed parts.
I hope you like this Easter crochet pattern, and I would absolutely love to hear what you think. Please do comment below to let me know, or alternatively you can email me here. I’m also hear to help answer any questions you may have, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me at any stage.

Crochet Pattern Information: The Eggy Paw Pals
This easy Easter crochet pattern is written in US terms in English only.
This is a 5-in-1 crochet pattern, which means there are elements of the pattern that are the same for each Eggy Paw Pal.
There is also minimal sewing required for the assembly of these Eggy Paw Pals, and some body parts are crocheted on as you go. A basic explanation of this technique is given at the beginning of this crochet pattern, but a full photo tutorial is provided within the PDF crochet pattern.

Here is all you’ll need to crochet the Eggy Paw Pals. More details on the yarn amount required is to follow.

Amigurumi Size
With the yarn and crochet hook outlined above, each Eggy Paw Pal body will be approximately 6 cm / 2.4 ” high & 4.2 cm / 1.7 ” wide. This of course also depends on your tension. I do tend to crochet quite tightly, so your Eggy Paw Pal may turn out a little bigger.
Gauge for the Crochet Pattern
Gauge is not required for this pattern, however keep tension consistent throughout. For reference my gauge was:
6 sc stitches on 2.5 cm / 1 “
6 rows on 2.5 cm / 1 “
Eggy Paw Pals Crochet Pattern Abbreviations
The abbreviations used throughout this pattern include:
R# – Row/round number

Crochet Pattern Tips: Eggy Paw Pals
- Yarn: The yarn choice is completely up to you, and you can change the yarn weight, material, and colours based on your own personal preference. Just be aware that the weight of your yarn may impact the hook size you need to use and also the size of your final make.
- Hook size: I recommend using a smaller hook size than recommended on the yarn label. This will stop the stuffing appearing through your stitches.
- Eyes: Please note that safety eyes are a choking hazard and are not suitable for children under 3 years of age. As an alternative, you can crochet the eyes.
- Working in rounds: All parts within this pattern are worked in continuous rounds unless otherwise stated.
- Stitch marker: Use a stitch marker at the beginning of each round/row to keep track of the number of stitches.
- Decreases: I recommend using the invisible decrease method for all amigurumi pieces throughout. For pieces that are worked back in forth in rows, use a standard decrease.
- Changing colour (Puppy only): To ensure straight lines, add the new colour in the last yarn over of the sc before the new colour is stated in the pattern.
- No-sew: Some body parts are attached to the body while you crochet. Please read ‘Important’ note on page 4 and see tutorial on page 17 of this pattern.

No-Sew Amigurumi: Read this first!
Each Eggy Paw Pal uses the same pattern for the feet and body. However, tails, ears, colour changes, and embroidery details are different for each.
This pattern has also been designed to reduce the amount of sewing required. As such, where possible body parts are attached to the bodies while crocheting.
To crochet body parts to the body, simply insert your crochet hook into a crochet stitch of the last row of the limb (e.g. foot, tail, ear), then into a stitch of the body. Then complete your single crochet stitch as per normal. Repeat these steps until each stitch of the limb is attached to one stitch of the body. An example is shown in the image of one foot being crocheted onto the body as you go.
To use this pattern, first crochet the unique limbs for your chosen Eggy Paw Pal (e.g. foot, tail, ears etc.) Then crochet the feet, which is the same pattern for all Eggy Paw Pals.
Once all limbs are crocheted, you can move on to crochet the body. The body pattern is written as one pattern, but includes unique elements as you go throughout for each Eggy Paw Pal. These are stated clearly throughout the body crochet pattern, however if you have any questions at all, please do feel free to get in touch with me and I’m more than happy to help however I can.
Lastly, there are assembly instructions unique to each Eggy Paw Pal. After you crochet the body, refer to these instructions to complete your chosen Eggy Animal Amigurumi.
Remember the PDF crochet pattern includes more photos and instructions. So if you are a beginner crocheter, I’d highly recommend downloading the PDF to help you throughout the crocheting procress.
