Get all the information you need to make a crochet superhero monkey in this step-by-step guide.
The Elemonks was my idea for the crochet pattern design challenge set by Hobbii yarn. Elemonks are four little monkey amigurumi superheroes with superpowers that match the four elements – Fire, Earth, Water, and Sky.
The Fire Elemonk can set fire to anything it wishes with the flick of its wrist. The Earth Elemonk simply stares at the ground for it to shatter and cause catastrophic destruction to any evil presence in its way. The Water Elemonk hums a tune to create beautiful waterfalls or deadly tsunamis. Lastly, the Sky elemonk can use its breath to create tornados and cyclones.
To crochet these cuties, you simply need to access two patterns on my webpage and follow the additional instructions below. Remember, you don’t have to crochet four monkeys, you could crochet one monkey and give them four costumes for dress-up parties! The choice is yours.
Whatever you decide, I would absolutely love to see your creations. Don’t forget to share your makes with me on social media using the hashtag #CillaCrochets and by tagging me @cillacrochets. Happy crocheting!
Crochet superhero monkey – the Monkey amigurumi pattern
Milo the Monkey is the amigurumi created to fit the role of the Elemonks (get it, Element Monkeys? 😝 A bit lame I know, but it’s all a bit of fun!). If you would like to create all four superheroes, you will need to crochet four Milo the Monkeys. As such, you’ll need to times the materials (in particular the yarn) by four to get the amount you need.
Amigurumi Superhero Costumes Free Crochet Pattern
Once you’ve crocheted your amigurumi monkeys, follow the free crochet patterns for the four element superhero costumes. Please note that there is no need to double up any materials required when reading this pattern.
Dress up your Elemonks
After following the patterns above, you should have four amigurumi monkeys (or as many as you’ve chosen to make) and now you simply dress them up in their capes and headbands. The result is seriously just too cute!
I hope you enjoy making these cuties and as always, if you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me.
I can’t wait to see your makes and until next time,
Happy crocheting!
