About Cilla Crochets

Cilla Crochets was originally started as a personal project to track my crochet journey in early 2020.

Now, I have much bigger aspirations for Cilla Crochets and aim to educate, excite, and inspire crocheters around the world.

About the founder: Cilla Richards

Hi there! My name is Cilla Richards and I’m the crochet-obsessed amigurumi designer and content creator behind Cilla Crochets.

I’m a 30-something year old Australian living in the sunniest part of the world – Edinburgh, Scotland.

My crochet journey started in 2018 when I first picked up a yarn and crochet hook and learned a few basic stitches. Unfortunately, my impatience got the better of me, and I got bored quite quickly trying to crochet a blanket.

Thankfully, in January 2020 I picked up my yarn and hook again with a new determination. This time, I wanted to crochet an amigurumi.

After completing my first ever amigurumi, which was a little crocheted monkey called Max, I fell in love with crochet and have been obsessed ever-since.

I’m now an amigurumi crochet designer and content creator who aims to share my crochet passion with the world.

It’s so nice to e-meet you and I hope you find something on my website that sparks your crojo (aka Crochet Motivation).

Cilla x
